Jenni talk about how Anglo American has committed to reducing net green house gas emissions by 30 % and fresh water usage by 50 % over the next 10 years. Technology will play a role, but there is still a lot we can do by applying a sound fundamental understanding of the nature and behaviour of our ore bodies to improve the efficiency of our existing circuits. The seminar will present some examples from iron ore, copper and platinum group metals to illustrate how this can be achieved.
