The Australian Government’s Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) visits COEMinerals as part of showcasing Australia's environmental research

The Australian Government’s Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) visited the COEMinerals on Wednesday 15 May 2024 — at the Centre’s University of Newcastle administrative node — to take photos of researchers and facilities.

The photos, which captured multiple energy and water efficient mineral processing techniques, low carbon ironmaking, carbon capture and sustainable agriculture at the University of Newcastle, will form part of Austrade’s library of imagery they’ll use to showcase Australia’s net zero capabilities to the world.

It was great to host Austrade to let them know about the Centre’s technology advances, which are being adopted globally in the critical minerals area,” said Laureate Professor Kevin Galvin, Director of the ARC Centre for Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals (COE Minerals). 

The following research centres, groups and co-located industry partners based at the University of Newcastle took part in the photo shoot:
