The ARC Centre of Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals’ (COEMinerals) Annual Report is now available, showcasing its pioneering research, scientific advancements and technology invention in 2023.

Home-based within the NIER precinct, Centre members — representing researchers from nine Australian universities, including the University of Newcastle — are playing a pivotal role in delivering new discoveries, game-changing innovation and novel technologies to improve mineral processing techniques, which is helping to recover more minerals with less water and waste.

Featured case studies reflect new and evolving Centre-developed technologies and strategic collaborations across scientific disciplines, and with other universities, partners and industry to solve pressing resource recovery and sustainability challenges facing Australia and the world. The Report also provides insights into the wide-ranging educational experiences provided by the Centre; helping to shape the next generation of sector leaders.
